DST Global Targets Artificial Intelligence Giants in Multi-Billion Tech Push
Saurabh Gupta steers venture capital allocations toward frontier AI and enterprise infrastructure leaders
Venture capital powerhouse DST Global is accelerating its capital deployment across leading artificial intelligence and autonomous systems companies. The investment firm is expanding its exposure to frontier tech firms developing infrastructure, foundation models, and specialized enterprise software.
Saurabh Gupta, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of DST Global, is directing the firm’s strategic focus toward high-growth artificial intelligence developers. The portfolio now includes prominent industry players such as Elon Musk’s xAI and Alphabet-backed autonomous driving firm Waymo. Alongside foundation models and autonomous systems, the firm has backed specialized applied AI platforms.
DST Global’s current artificial intelligence roster includes legal intelligence software provider Harvey, clinical information platform OpenEvidence, Periodic Labs, and Ricursive Intelligence.
The push into advanced computing mirrors DST Global’s broader investments in high-scale platforms and financial technology. The firm continues to manage active stakes in consumer and enterprise companies such as digital banking service Chime and live marketplace platform Whatnot.
Gupta’s earlier investment leadership at DST Global encompassed major global tech ventures. He directed allocations into lodging platform Airbnb, corporate card provider Brex, logistics service Dada, and Indian delivery network Swiggy. The executive was also directly involved in the firm’s historic positions in Alibaba, Twitter, and WhatsApp. His background includes a tenure in J.P. Morgan‘s investment banking division advising European technology corporations.
