Manchester United are exploring a move for Fulham’s Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge as part of an ambitious summer overhaul of their midfield options.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, internal discussions have already taken place at Old Trafford regarding the 28-year-old. United’s leadership views Berge as a viable, cost-effective target who could command a transfer fee of under £40m. This comes despite Fulham holding a strong negotiating position, with the player under contract at Craven Cottage until 2029, meaning the West London club is under no immediate pressure to sell.
The pursuit of Sander Berge highlights a broader strategic shift at Manchester United. Under the club’s revamped sporting department, there is a clear emphasis on adding physical presence and tactical versatility to the engine room.
