Democratizing Crypto Forensics: AMLBot Debuts AI Tracer for Cross-Chain Fund Tracking
Automated analysis tool traces transactions across 14 networks and cross-chain bridges without enterprise software.
Blockchain forensics provider AMLBot has released a new automated investigation engine named AI Tracer, seeking to make complex transaction tracking accessible to everyday users, law enforcement officers, and compliance personnel without requiring specialized analytical expertise.
Operating as a self-service tool, the software maps the flow of digital assets directly from a single transaction hash. It automatically follows funds across intermediate addresses to their final destination, cross-referencing wallet addresses against a database of known entities, including centralized exchanges, illicit services, and previously flagged bad actors.
The development comes as cross-chain money laundering presents a growing challenge for crypto compliance. Bad actors frequently route stolen or illicit funds through decentralized bridges and multi-wallet splitting techniques to obfuscate transaction histories. Historically, unravelling these multi-chain paths required enterprise-grade software platforms from security firms like Chainalysis, often priced out of reach for independent researchers or individual victims of crypto fraud.
AI Tracer currently covers 14 major layer-1 and layer-2 networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TRON, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Cardano, Ripple, BNB Chain, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, and Bitcoin Cash. The tool’s algorithms are designed to maintain visibility even when assets hop across cross-chain bridges or split into multiple smaller wallet distributions.
Despite its automated capabilities, the platform operates under key technical limitations inherent to public ledger analysis. It cannot peer into off-chain internal transfers within centralized exchanges, establish the underlying intent of a transfer, freeze funds, or guarantee asset recovery. Consequently, the generated reports serve primarily as preliminary investigative intelligence rather than formal legal audits or judicial evidence.
AMLBot is offering the tool under a freemium model, providing initial free queries alongside subscription tiers for users requiring higher volume checks. The tool targets a broad operational scope ranging from retail traders evaluating risk to independent investigators and corporate compliance teams.
