Julian Nagelsmann Reportedly Offers Services to Manchester United for Post-World Cup Role
Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann reportedly offers services to Manchester United, eyeing Old Trafford role post-World Cup.

Manchester United parted ways with Ruben Amorim last week, with Darren Fletcher overseeing their FA Cup match. Michael Carrick has now been appointed interim manager until the end of the season.
The club aims to secure a permanent manager by summer, well in advance of next season, and has already seen links to figures like Luis Enrique and Xavi Hernandez.
Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has reportedly offered his services to Manchester United, expressing interest in taking over at Old Trafford following the World Cup in North America, according to Football Insider.
Nagelsmann holds a contract with the German football federation until Euro 2028. However, reports suggest he could be released sooner, either by mutual desire to join another club or potentially if Germany’s World Cup performance falls short.
Julian Nagelsmann began his managerial career at a young age, ascending to one of international football’s biggest roles with Germany. He also enjoyed a successful, albeit brief, stint as head coach of Bayern Munich.
The 38-year-old manager secured a Bundesliga title and two DFL Super Cups during his time at Bayern. His tactical acumen, honed at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig, has garnered global praise, complemented by excellent man-management skills.
Nagelsmann’s tactical flexibility, centered on possession-based play and high-intensity pressing, offers a modern football blend. This approach, combined with strong dressing room control, aligns with Manchester United’s perceived needs.
The ease with which the DFB might release him from his contract, should United reciprocate his interest, remains a key question.
