Delta Overhauls Delta One Premium Cabin With Wagyu Burgers and

New Wagyu Burgers, Missoni Kits and Porsche Transfers Lead Overhaul Rolling Out Through 2027

Delta Air Lines is revamping its Delta One premium cabin with wagyu beef burgers, high-end wines and designer amenity kits, marking its latest move in the premium-cabin race among U.S. carriers.

The Delta One upgrade, announced Wednesday, starts on Delta One Los Angeles routes this fall before spreading across Delta’s global network in early 2027.

Delta Chief Marketing and Product Officer Ranjan Goswami said the changes are designed to deliver “the industry’s most premium end-to-end travel experience.”

The menu overhaul brings a Delta wagyu burger alongside roasted sea bass, braised lamb, beef short rib and upgraded desserts. A new dairy-free sorbet can be paired with Taittinger Champagne.

Delta’s wine program expands to 13 selections from 11 wineries, including Silver Oak, which Delta says can retail for more than $200 a bottle. Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon joins the Delta One bar Dec. 1. Dassai 45 sake will serve flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda starting Nov. 3, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the Hugo Spritz and Paloma arrive in 2027.

Delta is introducing a new Delta amenity kit beginning Nov. 3, with Grown Alchemist skincare and Marvis dental care, plus a Missoni Mini pillow on transoceanic Delta One routes. Bombas socks return on select domestic and international Delta One flights.

The Delta premium cabin overhaul goes beyond food and amenity products. Delta is broadening meal pre-selection, letting passengers order an entrée up to 18 hours before departure — six hours closer to takeoff than before. Those wanting more sleep can skip the morning meal service and request coffee and croissant before landing.

More than 200 Delta flight attendants and other employees helped develop and test the revamped experience over 14 months, the airline said.

The Delta One 2027 rollout reflects a broader trend as U.S. carriers continue investing heavily in premium products. On long-haul international routes, Delta One competes directly with United Polaris and American’s Flagship First and Flagship Business, where airlines rely on premium cabins to offset thin economy margins. Premium travelers — who pay the most for tickets and onboard spending — are a key revenue focus after the pandemic reshaped demand toward high-yield routes.

Kristen Manion Taylor, Delta’s senior vice president of brand experience, said: “Luxury is about having the experience designed around you — today’s premium traveler values choice as much as quality.”

Delta is also expanding its Delta Porsche transfer fleet from 40 to 70 vehicles across 15 airports and hubs by 2028.

Delta is introducing new Missoni amenity kits featuring Grown Alchemist skincare and Marvis dental products beginning Nov. 3.
