Liverpool Enters Multi-Club Race for Midtjylland Winger Dario Osorio as Valuation Climbs Past £17M
Midtjylland targets fee above 150 million kroner as Arsenal, Everton, and AC Milan join pursuit of Chilean international
Liverpool has made formal inquiries to Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland regarding a summer transfer for Chilean right winger Dario Osorio, initiating a competitive race that has also drawn interest from Arsenal and Everton.
With several clubs now battling for the youngster’s signature, Midtjylland are optimistic the fierce battle will help raise his valuation above the reported 150 million kroner (£17m), according to the Danish outlet.
The Danish publication Campo reports that EFL Championship side Leeds United and Serie A club AC Milan are also tracking the 22-year-old. Midtjylland holds strong leverage in negotiations, as Osorio remains under a five-year contract running through June 2028 after completing a €5.2 million transfer from Chilean club Universidad de Chile in August 2023.
During the 2025-26 Danish Superliga season, Osorio averaged 3.41 attempts per game and 1.28 shots on target, placing him within the league’s top one per cent of wide attackers in both categories.
His offensive production yielded six goals and six assists in domestic league action, contributing to 18 total goal involvements across all competitions. His performance prompted Midtjylland manager Mike Tullberg to describe him as “incredible” following a 4-0 league victory over Silkeborg in February.
Osorio’s domestic form coincides with his growing role on the international stage, where he has earned 22 caps for Chile since his senior debut in 2022. He represented his country at the 2024 Copa América in the United States, appearing in group-stage fixtures against Peru, Argentina, and Canada. His tactical versatility allows him to operate across either flank, making him a target for European clubs utilizing highly rotational attacking systems.
