Liverpool Agree Personal Terms with Bradley Barcola Ahead of Potential £85m Bid

Liverpool have taken a decisive step in their summer recruitment plans after reaching an agreement in principle on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola.
The 23-year-old France international has prioritized a transfer to Anfield and agreed to a long-term contract running through 2032, according to reporter Nicolo Schira. With the player’s willingness to complete the move established, direct negotiations between the two European titans are set to determine the transfer’s feasibility.
Liverpool are preparing to test PSG’s resolve with an initial formal bid expected to surpass £85 million. However, the French champions maintain a significantly higher valuation of the forward, pricing him between £128 million and £145 million.
Anfield decision-makers have identified Barcola as their primary target to succeed Mohamed Salah as the team’s long-term attacking focal point. Elite wide forwards capable of providing high-intensity output remain scarce across major European leagues, making the Frenchman a strategic priority for the club.
Barcola’s career trajectory has accelerated rapidly since breaking through at Olympique Lyonnais. Following his transfer to Parc des Princes in 2023, he established himself as a dynamic wide threat under manager Luis Enrique, contributing to three consecutive Ligue 1 titles and a UEFA Champions League victory. Throughout his senior career, he has accumulated 39 goals and 37 assists.
Despite delivering 20 goal contributions across all competitions during the recent season, Barcola experienced a reduced role in the starting lineup following the arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli. That shift in squad hierarchy created an opening for rival clubs, with Liverpool moving quickly to secure his commitment.
On the international stage, Barcola was a key contributor to France’s World Cup run, scoring three goals and registering one assist across seven tournament appearances. Negotiations now pivot to whether PSG will lower their £145 million valuation to facilitate the deal.
