Twelve South Debuts Compact Valet Charger with Upgraded 25W Qi2 Speeds
The new $130 accessory slims down its depth to 4.25 inches and boosts wireless charging speeds to 25W.
Consumer electronics accessory maker Twelve South has expanded its product lineup with a redesigned, compact version of its Valet charging tray, lowering the device’s physical footprint while increasing wireless power output to 25 watts.
Priced at $130, the new model enters the market below the $180 tag of the original version. Designed for small bedside tables and restricted desk surfaces, Twelve South reduced the depth of the unit from 7.5 inches down to 4.25 inches while preserving the overall design language and premium construction.
From a technical specification standpoint, the revised Valet moves beyond the 15W wireless limit of its predecessor. The charger incorporates magnetic Qi2 technology capable of delivering up to 25W fast charging to compatible smartphones across iOS and Android ecosystems. The unit supports a total simultaneous power output capped at 35W.
Underneath the frame, Twelve South integrated a single USB-C port that can supply up to 25W of dedicated power when the top wireless surface is inactive. Because the tray omits a built-in proprietary Apple Watch puck, users connect external cables to this auxiliary USB-C port for smartwatches, smart rings, or secondary accessories.
The exterior features a top surface and frame wrapped in Nappa leather, paired with interchangeable frame support for customization. Built-in utility features include a downward-facing LED light array that illuminates upon device placement to confirm charging alignment, along with bottom cable routing tabs and raised feet designed to hold power cords cleanly in any direction.
