In Montreal, Inter Miami secured a narrow 1-0 victory courtesy of Suárez’s delicate “Panenka” chip from the penalty spot in the closing stages. The Uruguayan veteran’s calm finish followed a two-goal performance against Chicago Fire earlier in the week, bringing his goal tally to three in his last two outings. The match also featured the debut of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who recently completed his transfer to the club. Miami managed the victory despite the continued absence of Lionel Messi following his World Cup campaign.

The win moves Inter Miami within two points of Eastern Conference leaders Nashville SC.
