Ultrahuman Launches Emerald App Overhaul with On-Device AI Processing and Personal Action Engine

Health technology provider Ultrahuman has deployed a comprehensive software overhaul codenamed Emerald, transitioning all algorithmic health data processing directly onto user devices while introducing an artificial intelligence engine designed to provide actionable daily recommendations.

The update restructures the platform’s visual presentation, shifting away from dense data dashboards toward a streamlined default view. The refreshed interface displays real-time contextual information customized to individual user needs at any given point during the day.

Central to the platform’s new architecture is Ultrasphere, a decision engine powered by the company’s proprietary AI model, Jade. The system evaluates real-time vital signs and background behavioral metrics to generate prioritized recommendations termed “next best actions.” For instance, when the platform identifies an afternoon energy slump in a user working standard office hours, it suggests a 10-minute outdoor walk in natural sunlight as an alternative to caffeine intake to restore alertness.

By shifting computational analysis directly to mobile hardware, the updated software operates independently of active cloud connections. This local processing capability allows continuous health analysis and actionable guidance during periods of complete disconnection, such as mid-flight or in remote locations without cellular service. Edge computing in wearable technology has increasingly emerged as a key focus for privacy-centric digital health platforms, reducing dependency on remote servers while lowering latency for biometric feedback.

Beyond structural changes, the Emerald update refines key physiological tracking capabilities. The platform includes updated algorithms for VO2 Max measurement, offering enhanced accuracy when assessing oxygen delivery during exertion. The update also introduces enhancements to AFib detection, expanded options for metric sharing, and real-time live heart rate data tracking directly within the mobile application.

The Emerald update is being made available to all current users immediately across supported mobile operating systems.
