Tottenham Hotspur Rival Manchester United for £50m West Ham Winger Crysencio Summerville

Spurs look to continue their massive squad rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi by targeting the Dutch attacker alongside Manchester City's Savinho.

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign West Ham United forward Crysencio Summerville as they look to continue an aggressive squad rebuild, according to transfer journalist Ben Jacobs.

The North London club is reportedly competing with Manchester United and Italian giants AS Roma for the 24-year-old Dutch winger. Despite West Ham suffering relegation last season, the Hammers are under no financial pressure to sell cheap, demanding a fee of around £50 million for the attacker, whose current contract runs until 2029.

Summerville proved to be a bright spark in an otherwise difficult campaign for his club, registering 10 goal contributions across all competitions. His domestic form earned him a place in the Netherlands national team squad for the World Cup, where the Dutch side reached the knockout stages before being eliminated by Morocco on penalties. Known for his pace, technical ability, and work rate off the ball, the versatile forward can play on either wing, making him an attractive target for clubs looking to bolster their frontline.

According to reports, Tottenham’s interest in the Dutchman is part of a wider search for attacking reinforcements. The club has also held talks regarding a potential move for Manchester City winger Savinho.

This pursuit of new attacking talent follows a highly active transfer window for Spurs. Having struggled in domestic competition with consecutive 17th-place finishes in the Premier League, the club’s hierarchy has backed manager Roberto De Zerbi with significant investment to reshape the squad.

The defensive unit has already undergone a major overhaul with the arrivals of Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke. In midfield, Tottenham secured high-profile signings in Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes to add steel and creativity to the engine room.

The club has also addressed its goalkeeping options, bringing in veteran goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and securing the long-term future of Antonin Kinsky with a contract extension. Adding a dynamic forward like Summerville or Savinho would represent the final piece of the puzzle for the rebuilt squad.
