Manchester United considers move for Fulham midfielder Sander Berge
Club evaluates Fulham midfielder as alternative target

Manchester United is considering the signing of Fulham midfielder Sander Berge, according to a report from The Athletic.
The interest follows the departure of Casemiro on a free transfer. United has agreed to sign Ederson from Atalanta, with the move becoming official after the player’s World Cup campaign with Brazil.
Michael Carrick reportedly wants at least one more midfielder. The club may seek another signing if Manuel Ugarte leaves this summer.
United is prioritizing players with Premier League experience. Mateus Fernandes, Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, Alex Scott, and Sandro Tonali have been linked with moves to the club. United is identifying alternative options as these targets are expected to be expensive.
Fulham purchased Berge for approximately £25 million and is expected to demand more than that amount for his departure. Berge’s contract runs until 2029.
The 6-foot-5-inch midfielder plays in defensive and box-to-box roles. He is quick, strong, and effective in the air. His play includes threading passes between lines and long-range passing. Berge is a member of the Norway national team, which qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1998.
