The U.S. State Department approved a $235.9 million military sale to Kuwait for KC-130J aircraft maintenance support services on Monday.

The five-year agreement includes spare parts, accessories, and engineering, technical, and logistics support provided by the U.S. government and private contractors. The request covers support equipment, software support publications, and technical documentation. It also includes repair and return services, personnel training, and training equipment.

The Kuwait Air Force uses the KC-130J aircraft for deterrence and resource protection. The State Department said the sale will not alter the military balance in the region or impact U.S. defense readiness.

Primary contractors for the deal include V2X, Aviation Training Consulting, CAE USA, Dowty, and Rolls-Royce.
