Honda Unveils New ‘H’ Emblem for Electric and Key Hybrid Models from 2027

Japanese automaker updates iconic logo, signaling a brand transformation for the EV era and the launch of its Honda 0 Series.

Honda is preparing a significant change in the visual identity of its automobile business. The Japanese manufacturer announced the adoption of a new, updated ‘H’ emblem, which will begin appearing on its electric models and key hybrids starting in 2027.

The new image will debut on the brand’s next-generation vehicles and progressively extend to other areas of the business, including the dealership network, corporate communication initiatives, and motorsport activities.

The company explained that the emblem’s redesign reflects the automotive industry’s ongoing transformation, driven by electrification and the development of smart technologies. Against this backdrop, Honda aims to strengthen its positioning for the coming years and accompany the arrival of a new generation of products.

The ‘H’ logo first appeared in 1963 and has undergone various evolutions over more than six decades. This latest version is designed to identify the brand’s electric future, including the launch of the Honda 0 Series, which will serve as the foundation for its new global electric vehicles.

One of the concepts from the Honda 0 Series, a new range of electric vehicles for global markets, set to launch first in North America.

From a design perspective, the new emblem represents two extended hands, a metaphor for Honda’s commitment to expanding mobility possibilities and adapting to the evolving needs of users worldwide.
