Adobe Launches Unified ChatGPT Plugin to Integrate 70 Creative Cloud Tools

Adobe Inc. has launched a unified plugin for OpenAI‘s ChatGPT, combining more than 70 tools from across its creative and document applications into a single conversational interface.
The update, available immediately on ChatGPT web and desktop applications, allows users to trigger editing workflows across Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, Acrobat, and Firefly using a single “@Adobe” command. The consolidated system replaces Adobe’s previous setup, which required users to manually call individual applications like “@Photoshop” for specific tasks.
Under the new system, ChatGPT automatically routes user requests to the appropriate Adobe software tools. Users can upload image batches to apply uniform visual styling, convert spreadsheet datasets into formatted PDF reports or event infographics, and reformat long-form videos into vertical clips adapted for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Basic asset generation works without an account, but users must sign in with an Adobe account to access Firefly generative features and sync files to Creative Cloud storage. Advanced capabilities remain locked behind paid subscription tiers.
Adobe emphasized that the plugin is designed for rapid edits and light workflows rather than comprehensive project authoring. Complex design tasks involving multi-layered compositions, detailed masks, or advanced timeline editing will still require native desktop software.
The integration builds on Adobe’s strategy to expand its proprietary software ecosystem into external conversational AI platforms. The company has already deployed similar tools across Anthropic’s Claude and Microsoft’s Copilot, with integrations for Google’s Gemini and Slack scheduled to follow.
