Federal Disclosure Unveils Surge in Trump Portfolio Trades Exceeding $78 Million
Monthly ethics filing details hundreds of stock transactions and multi-million-dollar ETF divestment
More than 1,000 securities transactions in June alone reveal an aggressive pace of investment activity within Donald Trump’s portfolio, according to a newly published federal financial disclosure.
The periodic transaction report, made public by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, details total monthly trading volume valued between $78.1 million and $263.1 million. Federal disclosure rules require assets and transaction values to be reported in broad financial ranges rather than specific dollar figures.
Among the most substantial acquisitions listed in the filing were new positions in corporate giants, including Berkshire Hathaway Inc., Visa Inc., Mastercard Inc., and Cintas Corp.
The single largest transaction documented during the month was a June 22 divestment. That trade involved the sale of shares in a Vanguard Group Inc. exchange-traded fund valued between $5 million and $25 million.
The June figures indicate a sustained pattern of heavy market participation following a historic volume of transactions recorded throughout the previous year.
During 2025, the president’s disclosures logged more than 21,000 securities trades. The cumulative value of those 2025 transactions reached between $600 million and $1.86 billion, with records showing instances where the same security was bought and sold within a single trading day.
The volume and frequency of the trading activity have drawn scrutiny regarding the potential intersection of public policy decisions and personal financial holdings.
The White House has maintained that the transactions create no conflicts of interest, stating that the underlying investment portfolios are managed independently by professional financial advisers. Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, has previously stated that the family’s investment assets are held in a blind trust.
