Sacramento Kings’ Precious Achiuwa Buys $1.84M Miami Condo
Achiuwa joins Nacho Figueras and Pierre Gasly at luxury Miami tower

Precious Achiuwa, a forward for the Sacramento Kings, has added a Miami condominium to his real estate holdings. The Sacramento Kings forward signed a purchase contract for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit at Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences, according to developers Terra and Lion Development Group.
The listing price for the condo was $1.84 million. Simon S. Mass of Altariss & TCS represented Achiuwa in the deal.
Achiuwa, 27, entered the NBA in 2020 after being selected by the New York Knicks and joined Sacramento in 2023. His latest purchase follows a prior acquisition at Five Park Miami, a Terra Development Miami project, where he bought property through the same agent. “Miami has always felt like a second home to me,” Achiuwa said in a statement. “When Simon walked me through what Jean-Georges and Terra were building at Miami Tropic, it was an easy decision.”
The 49-story tower occupies a site between the Design District and Midtown. Arquitectonica designed the building, and Yabu Pushelberg handled the interiors. The project will house 338 condominiums and offers 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities across five floors.
The Well Club Miami Tropic provides infrared saunas, steam rooms, hot and cold contrast therapies, compression and percussion treatments, and private treatment rooms. Fitness centers include strength-training and cardio equipment, yoga, barre, squash, and personal training.
Culinary direction from Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten shapes both communal areas and private residences. Ground-floor space will host abc kitchens, blending concepts from his abcV, abc cocina, and abc kitchen brands. His vision also informs in-home kitchen layouts, emphasizing fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Achiuwa joins an elite group of athlete residents. Nacho Figueras Miami resident and Argentine polo champion purchased a 2,951-square-foot, three-bedroom unit listed at $3.116 million with his son Hilario. Alpine Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly’s Miami condo is a 3,712-square-foot, four-bedroom sky residence listed at $4.9 million.

Achiuwa’s purchase adds to the growing list of Miami luxury condos acquired by athletes. The deal marks another example of NBA player real estate investments in South Florida, where Miami Design District condos remain popular among stars seeking tax advantages.
Miami’s lack of state income tax has made the city a magnet for professional athletes seeking to preserve earnings. Across the NFL, NBA, and MLB, players have increasingly directed capital toward waterfront and design-district properties as part of long-term wealth strategies.

Interior design draws on Miami’s tropical surroundings, incorporating greenery, natural woods, stone finishes, and textured materials. Amenities include an eighth-floor swimming pool, rooftop pool, juice bar, private restaurant and bar, private dining room, library, and multiple lounges.

Vongerichten’s involvement marks his first foray into residential real estate. Terra CEO David Martin said Achiuwa’s purchase reflects the building’s appeal to globally recognized athletes and food and culture enthusiasts. “In partnership with Jean-Georges, we’re building a lifestyle destination that blends world-class dining, holistic wellness, and elevated service,” Martin said.
