Truffert developed through the youth academy at Rennes, making his senior professional debut in French soccer in September 2020 before earning caps with the France senior national team and participating in the 2024 Olympic tournament. Over 39 appearances across all competitions in his first year in English soccer, the defender registered six goal contributions and helped preserve 11 clean sheets.
