The unconfirmed performance data outlines how Team Blue is engineering its next-generation platform to deliver targeted gains in single-core responsiveness alongside substantial multi-threaded throughput increases.

Details of the component surfaced through a CPU-Z benchmark screenshot shared on X by leaker @laurentschoice. Designated as the Intel Core Ultra 9 4950K, the moniker hints at a potential return to four-digit model designations for desktop parts after the manufacturer transitioned to three-digit Core Ultra naming schemes in 2024.

According to the leaked screenshot, the silicon incorporates eight performance cores alongside 20 efficiency cores, establishing a combined total of 28 cores. Intel has not formally validated the existence of the chip, its technical specifications, or its product branding, keeping the details strictly unverified.

The posted benchmark metrics show scores reaching approximately 1,000 points in single-threaded evaluation and near 20,000 points in multi-threaded testing. Should these figures hold true for release hardware, the processor would demonstrate measurable speed advances relative to current flagship silicon operating in the same synthetic test suite.

By way of comparison, public records within the CPU-Z database show Intel’s Core i9-14900KS posting around 950 points in single-threaded benchmark workloads. Meanwhile, AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 achieves multi-threaded scores in the neighborhood of 17,000 points, though actual real-world performance will ultimately depend on finalized clock frequencies, cache topology, memory subsystem support, power limits, and operating system scheduling optimizations.
