Egypt and France Open Applications for 12th Postdoctoral Research Program
Six-month fellowships offer advanced training and strengthen bilateral scientific cooperation.

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, confirmed the importance of research cooperation between Egypt and France. This collaboration serves as a crucial pathway to support Egyptian researchers. External training programs offer unique opportunities to explore the latest technologies. They also build scientific partnerships. This contributes to developing research capabilities. It enhances the international competitiveness of Egyptian researchers.
The Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), in collaboration with the French Embassy in Egypt, announced the 12th call for their Postdoctoral Research Program. This initiative aims to provide practical training opportunities within French research laboratories. It strengthens cooperation between both countries in shared priority scientific and applied fields. These fields include Energy, Agriculture, and Health & Medical Research (for research purposes only). Earth and Space Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics are also covered. Engineering Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, Data Science, and Communication Technologies are included. Biotechnology and Nanotechnology complete the list.
The program offers a six-month residency in France. It covers travel tickets, accommodation, and medical insurance costs. This enables Egyptian researchers to benefit from advanced expertise at French research institutions. Applicants must hold Egyptian nationality. They must have obtained their PhD within ten years of the application deadline. The age limit is 45 years at the closing date. Candidates need proficiency in French or English, suitable for the research project. Applicants must not have received a travel grant to France from the Egyptian government.
