Jane Sadowsky’s Boardroom Shift Across Energy, Mining and Infrastructure
The veteran banker advising energy, mining and infrastructure companies

NEW YORK — Jane Sadowsky has spent more than a decade advising multinational corporations from investment banks and the boardroom. Her current portfolio spans corporate governance, investment banking, and sector-specific advisory services, with roles concentrated in energy, mining, and infrastructure.
Her career trajectory reflects a broader trend in corporate America, where companies in capital-intensive sectors like energy and mining increasingly recruit independent directors with rigorous investment banking backgrounds to address complex capital allocation decisions, risk management, and shareholder relations. Sadowsky currently serves as a Senior Advisor at investment bank Moelis & Co.
Over the past ten years, her work has shifted toward independent board oversight. She now serves on three global corporate boards, including Nexa Resources S.A., a large-scale, NYSE-listed zinc and metallic mining company operating largely in Latin America.
Sadowsky also holds a non-executive directorship at Petrofac Limited, a London-listed international energy services provider. Earlier, she served on the board of Yamana Gold Inc., a major precious metals producer, until its acquisition by Pan American Silver and Agnico Eagle Mines in 2023.
At these companies, her responsibilities often center on audit, compensation, and sustainability committees. Those assignments place financial oversight alongside the operational demands of heavy industry.
Before moving to full-time board governance and strategic advisory work, Sadowsky spent over two decades in investment banking, specializing in the power, utility, and infrastructure industries. She retired as a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Power & Utility Group at Evercore Partners, an independent investment banking advisory firm.
During her tenure at Evercore, Sadowsky led advisory teams through complex utility mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings as the U.S. power sector underwent significant regulatory evolution. Her current position at Moelis & Co. continues that work through advice to corporate clients on strategic initiatives, restructuring, and capital raising.
She previously spent nearly 19 years at Citigroup and its predecessor firms, including Salomon Brothers. At Citigroup, she held several senior positions, including Managing Director in the Power and Utility Group, and throughout her Wall Street career she executed public and private debt and equity financings while advising on multi-billion-dollar corporate transactions.
Sadowsky holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Pennsylvania State University. She has also been active in non-profit leadership and organizations focused on the advancement of women in the financial sector, including the Women’s Bond Club of New York.
