TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 Sets Sept. 11 Side Event Deadline

Organizers outline Side Event authorization, conference registration and October programming deadlines

TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 will take place in San Francisco from Oct. 13 through Oct. 15, with regular ticket pricing remaining in effect through Sept. 25. Registration rates are set to increase after that date.

The conference traces its origins to TechCrunch’s early tech gatherings, including the TechCrunch50 conference established in the late 2000s under founder Michael Arrington. Over the past fifteen years, it evolved into a premier venue for early-stage startup debuts, largely centered around its signature “Startup Battlefield” competition. Early-stage companies such as Dropbox, Mint.com, and Yammer historically used the publication’s conference platform during their initial launch phases.

Organizers of TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 have set a final deadline of Sept. 11 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time for external organizations seeking official authorization to host affiliated Side Events during the annual technology convention. The cutoff applies to venture capital firms, corporate sponsors, industry groups, and startup accelerators planning peripheral programming alongside the main three-day conference.

The upcoming October event is expected to draw thousands of venture capitalists, early-stage founders, angel investors, and corporate technology executives. Main gathering attendees gain access to investor networking sessions, technical exhibitions, and stage programming centered on emerging business models and venture funding.

Side events have increasingly become a major component of large-scale technology conferences across North America, mirroring structures deployed at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. In San Francisco, official side events give corporate partners and investment funds dedicated venues for specialized panel sessions, targeted networking breakfasts, investor dinners, and targeted recruitment meetups within proximity of the primary convention facilities.

Under the event’s operational rules, approved Side Event hosts receive direct integration into TechCrunch’s event ecosystem. Authorized gatherings gain placement across the conference’s digital Side Events directory, the central Disrupt agenda, the event mobile application, subscriber newsletters, editorial articles, and social media channels. Host organizations also receive a 25 percent ticket discount code to distribute to attendees for general conference access.

Official application processing for Side Events remains active online until the Sept. 11 midnight deadline, while main conference registration continues through the October event dates.
