Bryan Goode Leads Microsoft’s Business Software and AI Agent Marketing
His portfolio spans Dynamics 365, Copilot Studio and low-code tools as rivals pursue enterprise AI contracts.

REDMOND, Wash. — Microsoft has put long-time executive Bryan Goode in charge of global product marketing for its business software platforms and autonomous agent technologies, aligning the company’s commercial software strategy around enterprise artificial intelligence.
As Corporate Vice President of Business Applications and Agents, Goode leads strategy and positioning for Microsoft Dynamics 365, the Power Platform and Microsoft Copilot Studio. His remit spans enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), low-code development tools and generative AI systems.
The division is focused on moving from assistive AI chatbots to autonomous agents: software designed to carry out multi-step workflows, make decisions within defined parameters and interact with enterprise databases without continuous human prompting. Microsoft Copilot Studio is the central platform for customers to build, customize and deploy those agents.
Copilot Studio enables developers and business users to connect large language models to internal data through Microsoft Graph, enterprise connectors and systems of record. The portfolio also includes pre-built autonomous agents integrated into Dynamics 365 for tasks in supply chain management, sales qualification, financial reconciliation and customer service.
Goode’s responsibilities include the Microsoft Power Platform suite: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Pages. Microsoft has increasingly integrated these low-code tools with Copilot Studio, allowing natural-language app generation and autonomous process automation for non-technical workers.
The strategy comes as major enterprise software providers compete to generate revenue from generative AI. Salesforce launched its competing Agentforce platform for building autonomous agents; SAP, Oracle and ServiceNow are also marketing agents for back-office and customer-facing operations. The vendors are seeking long-term enterprise subscription contracts as corporations assess the return on investment from AI infrastructure.
Goode has spent more than 15 years at Microsoft, primarily in its enterprise cloud and productivity software organizations. Before leading Business Applications and Agents, he held senior product marketing roles in Modern Work and was part of the leadership team responsible for the global rollout of Microsoft Teams. Teams launched in March 2017 to compete with workplace collaboration tools such as Slack.
He later helped manage Teams’ growth during the widespread shift to remote and hybrid work, while also working on marketing initiatives to expand commercial Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Before his enterprise productivity and collaboration assignments, Goode managed product lines across Microsoft’s broader cloud and infrastructure portfolios.
Goode holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
