NFL Week 6: Caleb Williams, Chuba Hubbard lead fantasy shifts
Hubbard's 28-carry workload and Williams' efficiency headline a weekend of major roster shakeups.

Caleb Williams threw for 305 yards and a touchdown on 30-of-36 passing to beat the Atlanta Falcons in NFL Week 6, while Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard absorbed 28 of his team’s 29 rushing attempts. The two performances anchored a weekend that drastically altered fantasy football rosters across the league.
Williams connected with Luther Burden and tight end Colston Loveland, both of whom had struggled to find consistent roles through the first five weeks. Chicago’s defense continues to surrender points at a high rate, a liability that forces the offense into pass-heavy game scripts. That structural reality keeps Williams’ volume elevated regardless of opponent.

Hubbard logged 120 yards and a touchdown against an opponent that had allowed 117.4 rushing yards per game entering the week, ranking 15th in the NFL, according to league statistics. Trevor Etienne received exactly one carry. With Jonathan Brooks still on injured reserve, no other player on the roster is positioned to threaten Hubbard’s workload. He finished as the overall RB1 for the week.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers caught 12 passes for 165 yards against the New Orleans Saints, marking his third consecutive 100-yard game. The production held even as the Giants cycled quarterbacks during the contest, with J.J. McCarthy now looming as a potential full-time starter. Drake London remains the primary target in Atlanta, but Kyle Pitts has scored in back-to-back weeks under Michael Penix, keeping him relevant primarily as a red-zone option rather than a high-volume playmaker.
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 24 of 41 passes for 306 yards, four touchdowns and one interception against Houston. It was his second straight 300-yard game and fourth multi-touchdown performance this season under offensive coordinator Liam Coen. Jacksonville enters its bye week next before facing a more favorable stretch of opponents.
In Indianapolis, Germie Bernard caught 11 of 12 targets for 87 yards and his first career touchdown. With Michael Pittman and Roman Wilson on injured reserve, Bernard is operating in two-wide receiver sets for the Pittsburgh Steelers, giving him a stable floor as long as those injuries persist. New York Jets rookie Omar Cooper Jr. recorded six receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown against New England in only his second game of the season, doing so while Garrett Wilson remained active. His role could shift once Breece Hall returns to the lineup.
Houston Texans wideout Jaylin Noel caught four passes for 107 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville. Entering the week, he led the team at 17.5 yards per reception and 13.35 yards per target. It marked his third straight game with either 80-plus receiving yards or a score, providing a necessary secondary element alongside Nico Collins in a struggling run game.
Not every backfield delivered. Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry managed 58 yards on 17 carries without Lamar Jackson on the field, failing to capitalize against a Cleveland Browns defense that had been allowing league-average rushing numbers. In Denver, Bo Nix continued to post poor underlying metrics in air yards per attempt and yards per play, dragging down the fantasy viability of his surrounding receivers. New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo did not record a single carry against the Saints after fumbling issues surfaced pregame. Tyrone Tracy Jr., Devin Singletary and Najee Harris handled the work instead, signaling a potential demotion under John Harbaugh.
The Los Angeles Rams failed to exploit an Arizona Cardinals defense that entered the weekend allowing a league-worst 32.4 points per game. Despite a roster featuring Matthew Stafford, Kyren Williams, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, Sean McVay’s offense never materialized in what projected as the most favorable matchup of the week.
