Apple Expands Multi-Device Protection Tier Internationally with AppleCare One Launch
The bundled insurance offering lands in four global markets on August 4, streamlining multi-device coverage.
Apple is expanding its consolidated device insurance service beyond the United States, bringing AppleCare One to four new international markets on August 4. Customers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia will gain access to the multi-device coverage program a year after its original domestic launch.
The single-subscription plan covers up to three devices under one monthly price, allowing users to consolidate warranty and protection services for hardware including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and MacBooks. Subscribers can add extra hardware to their plan for a set per-device fee.
In the United Kingdom, AppleCare One will cost £16.99 per month for a three-device base tier, with additional items added at £4.99 each per month. Pricing in France is set at €20.99 monthly for the base tier and €5.99 for each extra unit. By comparison, the service in the US carries a $20 monthly rate for three devices and $6 per extra device.
The service mirrors the highest protection level offered under traditional AppleCare+ tiers, encompassing unlimited accidental damage repairs, complete battery servicing, 24/7 direct access to technical specialists, and comprehensive theft and loss coverage for eligible handhelds. Beyond newly purchased products, subscribers can enroll existing devices up to four years old provided they pass physical condition guidelines.
Alongside the rollout, Apple is introducing standalone theft and loss protection for iPads and Apple Watches in the UK, bringing parity to coverage previously reserved exclusively for iPhones according to details shared by the company’s Apple Newsroom statement. In the UK market, adding theft and loss to a base iPad raises monthly AppleCare+ fees from £3.49 to £4.99 (or £49.99 annually). Standard protection for a base iPhone 17 rises from £6.49 to £9.49 per month with theft and loss protection included.
The financial value of AppleCare One varies depending on individual device configurations. Apple claims UK consumers bundling an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch under AppleCare One can save as much as £11.48 per month compared to holding three individual AppleCare+ plans with theft and loss. However, for users protecting entry-level hardware with basic accidental damage plans—where a combined individual cost might tally £12.47 monthly—the bundled plan offers less financial incentive.
The expansion comes as rising hardware manufacturing and device replacement costs put pressure on traditional warranty models. In the US, standalone AppleCare+ rates recently adjusted upward alongside price increases across several product lines, including price bumps of $100 on standard iPads up to $500 on high-end M5 Max MacBook Pro configurations.
