Jalen Brunson’s Family Turns His Off-Court Operation Into a New Sports Agency

Thirty Third Management Group expands Jalen Brunson’s family-led business into athlete and executive representation

Sandra Brunson and her son Jalen announced Tuesday the launch of Thirty Third Management Group, a family-owned advisory firm serving professional athletes, collegiate Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) talent, and corporate executives.

The agency will oversee Jalen Brunson’s off-court commercial portfolio while pursuing outside clients across professional sports, business ventures, and philanthropic foundations. Jalen Brunson is the firm’s foundational client, while the broader operation is expanding into specialized commercial areas.

Sandra Brunson has directed her son’s commercial enterprise for the past eight years and serves as president of Thirty Third Management Group. Erica Brunson, Jalen’s sister, became director of client services after joining the internal team in 2024. Connor Cashaw, a former high school basketball teammate of Jalen Brunson, joined the management team in 2025 and serves as director of business development.

A core focus from the agency’s launch is dedicated representation in women’s sports, which the firm’s leadership identified as historically underserved in strategic brand advisory. Erica Brunson will lead the firm’s strategy in female athlete representation and partner development.

“My family has been with me every step of the way, and everything we do is rooted in trust,” Jalen Brunson said in a statement. “Thirty Third gives us the chance to take ownership of my off-court business, to build something that reflects who we are, and to do it together.”

The firm’s name references the 33rd overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, when the Dallas Mavericks selected Jalen Brunson in the second round following a decorated collegiate career. Before entering the NBA, Brunson and Cashaw were teammates at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois, where they won the 2015 IHSA Class 4A state basketball title.

Erica Brunson said the firm’s goal is to scale the advisory model built during her brother’s professional transition for a broader client roster. “This firm was born from a belief that the most powerful brands are built on trust, purpose, and genuine human connection,” Erica Brunson said. “As a family, we’ve had the privilege of supporting Jalen’s growth beyond basketball, and that experience inspired us to create an advisory platform that helps others do the same. We are committed to helping our clients maximize opportunities, whether in professional sports, business, or philanthropy.”

Brunson subsequently attended Villanova University, winning two NCAA national championships in 2016 and 2018 under head coach Jay Wright, and earning consensus National College Player of the Year honors in 2018.

After four seasons with the Mavericks, Brunson signed a four-year, $104 million contract with the New York Knicks as an unrestricted free agent in July 2022. His tenure in New York included leading the franchise to an NBA championship while earning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player honors.

That postseason run included a May 6, 2026 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden. The championship was celebrated with a ticker-tape parade along Manhattan’s Canyon of Heroes on June 18, 2026, followed by a family appearance at the 2026 ESPY Awards at Lincoln Center on July 15, 2026.

To support its corporate operations and expanding client infrastructure, Thirty Third Management Group has retained New York law firm Meister Seelig & Schuster PLLC as legal counsel. Partners Mitch Schuster and Jed Ferdinand are overseeing legal affairs, while Focus Financial Partners will handle financial advisory services for the agency, the Brunson family, and its client roster.

The launch deepens a multi-generational family involvement in professional athletics. Jalen’s father, Rick Brunson, played nine seasons in the NBA after going undrafted out of Temple University and currently serves as an assistant coach for the Knicks.

Sandra Brunson played collegiate volleyball at Temple, where she earned her undergraduate degree before completing a law degree at Villanova University School of Law while establishing the family’s business administration operations.
