MEDINA, Saudi Arabia – Sheikh Faisal bin Abdul Malik Al-Nu’man, the revered muezzin of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, passed away yesterday evening, Monday, following a recent health setback. He was known for a long and distinguished career dedicated to serving the call to prayer.

According to Saudi newspaper Okaz, Sheikh Faisal Al-Nu’man spent his life calling worshippers to prayer, his distinctive voice resonating throughout the Prophet’s Mosque for many years. He performed the sacred call to monotheism with profound sincerity and devotion until his passing.

Sheikh Faisal carried on a cherished family legacy of serving as a muezzin at the Prophet’s Mosque. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Sheikh Abdul Malik Al-Nu’man, who began his service calling the adhan at the age of 14 and continued this noble duty until his own death.

His melodious voice and devout delivery made him one of the most familiar sounds for worshippers and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque. Sheikh Faisal’s presence and dedication will remain in the memory of all who heard him, a testament to years of service in one of Islam’s holiest sites.
