Egypt’s Third Preparatory Exams: Registration Deadline Approaches Amidst Preparations
Ministry of Education outlines critical steps and requirements for students ahead of January 2026 examinations.

The First Semester examinations for the Third Preparatory Certificate are set to begin on January 17, 2026. Students and parents must complete the online registration form as part of the preparations. Schools play a central role in this process. School IT officials and student affairs departments assist with data entry. These school personnel are responsible for registering the application forms for the Third Preparatory exams.
Students access the Ministry of Education website to begin the online process. They navigate to the General Certificates Platform. For more information on the Ministry’s services, visit their official portal: Ministry of Education Egypt. From there, users select “Electronic Services.” The next step involves clicking on either the “Third Preparatory Exam Application Platform” or the “Student Data Registration Forms” icon. If a student loses their username or password, they can access the email requirements link to retrieve necessary credentials. Students then log in using their username and password. The electronic form for the 2026 Preparatory Certificate appears. Students must accurately enter all required data. They upload a personal photograph, ensuring it matches the one submitted to the school. A thorough review of all registered information is crucial before clicking “save.”
Required Documents for Exam Application
Students need several documents to complete their Third Preparatory Certificate application for the 2025-2026 academic year. Five personal photographs are required. Each photo must measure 4×6 cm and have a white background. Students must print their name clearly on each photograph. An original receipt for the current academic year’s school fees is also necessary. Two copies of this receipt must accompany the original.
Examination Fees and Additional Requirements
The examination fee stands at 158 EGP. Students must pay this fee at the post office. An original receipt for the examination fee is mandatory, along with two copies. An original birth certificate is also required. Parents must provide a copy of their personal ID card, with their phone number clearly written on it. The printed electronic application form for the Preparatory Certificate completes the document list. All these documents must be submitted to the school in a plastic folder. Students should wear dark clothing when taking their photos. This practice helps ensure better image quality for the application. The mid-year academic break for students will run from January 24 to February 5, 2026.
Final Deadline for Registration
The Ministry of Education has set Wednesday, December 31, 2025, as the final deadline for registering the Third Preparatory Certificate application. This deadline is crucial for issuing seat numbers to students. It also ensures the completion of all preparations for the first semester examinations. These exams are scheduled to take place between January 17 and January 22, 2026.
