VSDC 11.3 Adds AI Video Generation and Drone Telemetry
Version 11.3 brings generative AI, drone data overlays, and crash recovery to the free non-linear editing software.

VSDC Free Video Editor released version 11.3, introducing artificial intelligence tools that generate video and images directly inside the editing timeline. The update also expands telemetry support for Garmin and DJI hardware, allowing creators to overlay cadence, heart rate, compass coordinates, speed and altitude data onto footage.
The software is developed by Flash-Integro. According to the company’s release notes, the new AI image generation, AI video generation and AI-powered image editing features mark a shift from traditional manual effects toward automated content creation within the application.
Drone pilots and fitness videographers gain specific data overlays. Garmin telemetry now supports cadence, heart rate and compass data. DJI telemetry now supports coordinates, speed and altitude. This targets users importing raw action camera files who previously relied on separate mapping or fitness applications to visualize sensor logs.
VSDC operates as a non-linear video editor. Unlike linear sequence editors, objects can be placed in any position on the timeline at any size, with parameters changing arbitrarily over time. The program processes virtually all video, image and audio formats and codecs without requiring external conversion tools. It remains one of the few free programs exporting in the H265/HEVC codec, maintaining high quality at minimum file sizes for 4K and HD files.
Version 11.3 overhauls the Key Editor for faster keyframe editing. Developers added Y-axis auto-scaling, improved zooming and scrolling while changing the scale, and introduced multi-selection and simultaneous editing of multiple keyframes and points. Scene editing and object transformation workflows now include orthogonal movement while holding Shift for objects, custom points, FreeShape/Polyline points, service/tracking points and control points. Proportional resizing works while holding Shift, and resizing relative to the object center triggers by holding Alt or Alt+Shift.
Project files now preserve the state of Timeline and Key Editor tabs. If Windows shuts down unexpectedly, VSDC can create a recovery project automatically when the computer is turned off while the editor is running. Users can copy Basic Effects property values to selected objects by pressing Enter in the input field, improving multi-object editing. When multiple objects are selected, Basic parameters with different values are highlighted in green.
Existing tools carry forward into the new build. The motion tracking tool registers movements of any objects in a video and assigns the trajectory to titles, captions, icons, images or masks. Masking allows for creating different shaped masks for hiding, blurring or highlighting certain elements. A built-in video stabilization tool removes jitter caused by camera movement. Visual and audio effects remain split into five categories: color correction, object transformation, object filters, transition effects and special fx. Blending modes and Instagram-like filters apply via adjustable parameters or one-click presets.
The software includes export profiles for Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Vimeo. A direct YouTube uploader pushes finished projects to the platform without switching windows. Other utilities bundled with the editor include a desktop video capture tool, a video file converter capable of removing unneeded segments or merging several files into one, and a built-in DVD burning tool. Users can also create 3D diagrams based on dynamically changing data.
Interface changes in 11.3 add Ribbon customization for a more flexible editing workspace. Users can assign custom hotkeys to the compositing and waveform menus. Object type filtering through the Properties window simplifies navigation in complex projects. A dedicated menu command now exists for removing offline media files from projects.
Patch notes list several bug fixes. Developers resolved an issue where Quick Access Toolbar customization did not work correctly and fixed a problem causing the Quick Access panel in the Telemetry templates window to disappear after restarting the application. Columns in the Link media window can no longer be deleted without an option to restore them. Rendering of curves and shapes on sharp bends was improved. When combining objects into a sprite, applied effects transfer to the sprite. Additional fixes addressed block movement locking when snapping to the grid at 200% zoom with negative coordinates, pane dragging failures between monitors in certain multi-monitor configurations, and Unicode handling in XMP metadata. Lens Distortion accuracy also received precision improvements.
