Egypt’s Official Gazette Publishes Decree Forming New Central Bank Board
Presidential decree outlines CBE's leadership and expert members.

Egypt’s Official Gazette has published Presidential Decree No. 733 for 2025, detailing the formation of the Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) new Board of Directors. The decree appeared in Issue 51 bis (A) of the Official Gazette on December 21, 2025.
Article One of the decree stipulates the composition of the Central Bank of Egypt’s Board of Directors. Hassan El Sayed Hassan Abdallah will chair the board as Acting Governor, effective November 27, 2025, for a one-year term. The board also includes the following members:
- Ramy Ahmed Adel Aboul Naga – Deputy Governor of the Central Bank.
- Tarek Mohamed Badawy El Khouly – Deputy Governor of the Central Bank.
- Mohamed Farid Saleh – Acting Head of the Financial Regulatory Authority.
- Ali Mohamed Ali Farmawy – Technology Expert.
- Sherif Hussein Kamel Mohamed – Financial Expert.
- Khaled Ahmed Fouad Mahmoud Sherif – Banking Expert.
- Essam Mohamed Abdel Hady Amer – Accounting and Financial Expert.
- Khaled Ibrahim Saqr Ali – Economic Expert.
- Ahmed Gad Gad Radwan – Economic Expert.
- Amina Amin Helmy Hassan – Economic Expert.
Article Two of the decree mandates its publication in the Official Gazette and requires all relevant authorities to implement its provisions.
