Manchester United Revamp Squad for Fulham Clash as Sesko Misses Out
Sesko absence forces United to change attack for Fulham

Manchester United will travel to West London for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage with Matthijs de Ligt, Luke Shaw and Carlos Baleba included in the squad.
The squad changes come as United sit 13th in the Premier League table after registering just one victory in their opening league matches. Their recent run also includes a derby loss and domestic cup elimination against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Benjamin Sesko, however, was omitted because of an injury concern. His absence leaves manager Michael Carrick short of natural options at the top of the pitch, with Brazilian attacker Matheus Cunha slated to lead the attack against Fulham in the Slovenian international’s absence.
Luke Shaw gives United a natural left-back option after a three-game absence. He missed the recent Manchester derby defeat and United’s elimination from the Carabao Cup against Brighton & Hove Albion, while Carrick used Danish defender Patrick Dorgu and Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui to cover the position.
Shaw was an integral fixture in United’s setup throughout the previous campaign, starting every Premier League match. In central defense, De Ligt returns to the squad for the first time in the current calendar year after being sidelined since November with a persistent back injury.
De Ligt’s availability gives Carrick experienced depth in central defense following weeks of rotation in the backline. Baleba’s inclusion, meanwhile, brings the midfielder closer to his official Manchester United debut.
Baleba arrived at the club carrying an ankle issue that delayed his entry into match action. The injury was not deemed severe enough to halt his transfer, but it prevented him from participating in the early stages of the season. His integration into the travelling group comes while United has struggled to maintain control in central midfield during recent matches.
Sunday’s match presents a critical opportunity for Carrick’s side to secure points and stabilize their league position before the upcoming schedule.
