Fortune 500 Executive Shuffles: Ulta, Allstate, PVH, and Ally Financial Announce Top C-Suite Moves
Major shifts across retail, financial, and tech executive suites highlight recent corporate recruitment strategies.
High-profile executive transitions swept through major Fortune 500 corporations in mid-July 2026, with major leadership changes announced across retail, financial services, and consumer sectors. Companies including Ulta Beauty, Allstate, Ally Financial, and PVH Corp have brought in executive talent from major industry competitors to guide technology expansion, risk management, and financial operations.
Ulta Beauty (No. 355) appointed former Domino’s Pizza technology executive Kelly Garcia as its new Chief Technology Officer, effective August 31. Garcia previously served as Executive Vice President and CTO at the pizza delivery giant, where he oversaw digital infrastructure and consumer technology platforms. At Ulta, he replaces Mike Maresca, who formerly held the position of Chief Technology and Transformation Officer, as retail chains increasingly prioritize digital customer experiences and omni-channel integration.
In the apparel sector, PVH Corp. (No. 446)—the corporate parent of major global retail brands Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein—appointed Alexis Rollier as Chief Financial Officer, effective in early September. Rollier transitions to the role from beauty retailer Sephora, where he served as Global CFO and Global COO. He succeeds interim CFO Melissa Stone, PVH’s Executive Vice President of Global Financial Planning & Analysis. Stone took over financial operations in January following the departure of former CFO Zac Coughlin to Sirius XM Holdings (No. 463).
Insurance provider Allstate (No. 64) named Christian Lown as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3. Lown previously served as chief financial officer for commercial real estate platform CoStar Group and mortgage giant Freddie Mac (No. 33). Lown steps into the CFO position as former financial chief Jess Merten transitions to focus fully on his duties as President of Property Liability. Modern insurance firms regularly adjust corporate governance to navigate fluctuating economic cycles, as tracked in public filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
In digital banking, Ally Financial (No. 295) appointed Mark Mathewson as Chief Information and Data Officer, effective July 20. Mathewson joins Ally from Capital One Financial (No. 63), where he served as divisional CIO overseeing technology for retail and commercial banking units. Mathewson succeeds Sathish Muthukrishnan as Ally continues expanding its data infrastructure and automated financial services platforms.
