Brewers vs. Padres Game 4 time, TV channel for NLDS
Milwaukee leads the series 2-1 and can eliminate San Diego Wednesday night at Petco Park, with Game 5 set for Friday if necessary.

The Milwaukee Brewers can close out the National League Division Series on Wednesday night, carrying a 2-1 lead into Game 4 against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET, with national television coverage on FS1. The broadcast team of Adam Amin, Adam Wainwright and AJ Pierzynski will call the action. Viewers without traditional cable can stream the game through DIRECTV or Fubo, both of which carry the Fox Sports network family.
Milwaukee took control of the best-of-five matchup by winning two consecutive one-run games in San Diego to open the series. The Brewers edged the Padres 3-2 in Game 1 on Oct. 3 before securing a 4-3 victory in Game 2 the following day. San Diego avoided elimination Tuesday night, answering with a 4-3 win of its own in Game 3 to force the continuation of the series.
If the Padres win Wednesday, the deciding Game 5 would shift back to American Family Field in Milwaukee on Friday, Oct. 9, with a 4:30 p.m. ET start time. That earlier afternoon window reflects MLB’s standard scheduling practice for potential clinching games late in the divisional round, designed to avoid direct prime-time competition with other ongoing playoff matchups.
The Brewers entered October as the majors’ most successful regular-season club, finishing 103-59 — three victories clear of any other team in baseball. Manager Pat Murphy has leaned heavily on 24-year-old right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, who anchored the staff with a major-league-best 1.80 ERA and 252 strikeouts across 174 2/3 innings while consistently touching 100 mph. Misiorowski posted a 1.50 ERA during last year’s postseason, though all three of those appearances came from the bullpen. His transition to a primary starting role this October represents a significant tactical shift for a Milwaukee rotation that relies on his velocity deep into games.
San Diego arrived in the divisional round riding momentum from a Wild Card sweep of the Chicago Cubs. The Padres generated offense throughout their lineup and received key production from their bench during the two-game set at Petco Park. A victory Wednesday would advance San Diego to the NL Championship Series for the first time since 2022, when the franchise ultimately fell to the Philadelphia Phillies.
For Milwaukee, advancing carries historical weight beyond this specific roster. Last year’s NLDS triumph over the Cubs snapped a brutal stretch of six consecutive postseason series defeats, marking the franchise’s first playoff series victory since the 2018 NLDS run under Craig Counsell. The current group is attempting to prove that breakthrough was not an anomaly.
The broader 2026 MLB postseason continues to accelerate toward its final stages. The NLCS is slated to begin Sunday, Oct. 11, followed by the ALCS opener on Monday, Oct. 12. The World Series is scheduled to start Friday, Oct. 23.
Game 4 begins at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from San Diego.
