Alexandria Police Bust Illegal Trade, Seize 29,000 Fireworks and 15 Bladed Weapons
Egyptian authorities apprehend company owner with criminal record in major contraband seizure.

ALEXANDRIA, Egypt – Egyptian security forces have arrested an individual for allegedly trading in illegal fireworks and bladed weapons, seizing nearly 29,000 fireworks and 15 bladed weapons in the coastal city of Alexandria.
Information gathered by the General Administration for Public Morality, part of the Specialized Police Sector within the Ministry of Interior, indicated that a company owner with a criminal record, residing in the Al-Raml Second Police Department district, was engaged in the illicit trade of these items.
Following legal procedures, authorities apprehended the suspect at a warehouse located within the same police district. The raid uncovered approximately 29,000 fireworks of various shapes and sizes, alongside 15 bladed weapons.

Confronted with the evidence, the suspect admitted to his criminal activities, stating his motive was to achieve financial gains. The arrest underscores ongoing efforts by Egyptian authorities to curb the illegal trade of dangerous items. Egypt has intensified crackdowns on such illicit activities, which often pose significant public safety risks.
