Ain Shams University Marks International Day for Persons with Disabilities with Focus on Family Empowerment
Event highlights integrated services and the family's pivotal role in inclusion.

Ain Shams University will host a celebration for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event takes place in collaboration with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD). Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, wife of the President, sponsors the initiative. This celebration falls under the NCPD’s ‘My Family is My Strength’ initiative. Its theme is ‘Because Together, Towards Integrated Services for Family Empowerment.’
Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abidin, President of Ain Shams University, supervises the celebration. Dr. Iman Karim, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, also provides oversight. Other supervisors include Dr. Ghada Farouk Hassan, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development at Ain Shams University. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, is involved. Dr. Ramy Maher Ghaly, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, also supervises. Dr. Howaida El-Gebaly, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Childhood Studies, completes the supervisory team.
Ibrahim Saeed Hamza handles administrative supervision and coordination. He serves as the Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
The event starts at 10:00 AM. It will be held on Monday, December 22nd. The Grand Conference Hall at Ain Shams University is the venue.
This celebration supports persons with disabilities. It aims to empower them. The event also highlights the family’s crucial role. Families form the primary pillar for community empowerment.
