Premier League Giants Circle AIK Teen Kevin Filling as Swedish Market Heats Up
European Giants Join Race for AIK's Teen Sensation Kevin Filling

Scouts from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Juventus have attended recent Allsvenskan matches in Stockholm, with all four clubs tracking AIK forward Kevin Filling. The 17-year-old’s performances have drawn senior evaluators from some of Europe’s top leagues, according to Caught Offside.
Filling, standing 1.85 meters tall, can play as a central striker or as an inverted winger on the left side. His physical strength and acceleration, combined with this positional versatility, have made him a target for long-term development plans.
Arsenal has evaluated Filling as a long-term project signing, aiming to secure his rights before his market value increases further. This approach mirrors broader European recruitment strategies focused on acquiring young international talent early in their senior progression.
During the 2026 Allsvenskan season, Filling logged 17 league appearances for AIK, recording two goals and five assists, according to match data compiled by FootyStats. His seven direct goal contributions in top-flight Swedish football have accelerated interest from foreign talent evaluators.
AIK holds a strong contractual position. Filling signed a contract with the Stockholm-based club that runs through June 2028, leaving the organization under no pressure to sell him immediately. Industry projections suggest any formal negotiation would require a transfer package valued between €20 million and €25 million.
A transfer in that range would set a record benchmark for AIK and stand among the highest transfer fees ever received by an Allsvenskan club. AIK previously executed a high-profile youth sale in January 2017, when forward Alexander Isak moved to German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for a reported €8.6 million fee before later joining Real Sociedad and Newcastle United.
Potential deal structures under consideration include performance-based add-ons, a future sell-on percentage clause, and a temporary loan back to AIK to allow the player to continue gaining first-team minutes in Sweden. Other high-value departures from the Swedish league include midfielder Lucas Bergvall’s move from Djurgårdens IF to Tottenham Hotspur for approximately €10 million in 2024, and Hugo Larsson’s transfer from Malmö FF to Eintracht Frankfurt for around €9 million in 2023.
Any international transfer involving a 17-year-old player remains subject to FIFA’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players. Under Article 19 of the FIFA framework, international transfers of minor players under the age of 18 are restricted, subject to specific exceptions for transfers within the European Union and European Economic Area for players aged 16 to 18.
For prospective suitors in the Premier League, transfers of non-UK minors must also comply with the Football Association’s Governing Body Endorsement criteria, which evaluates incoming players based on competitive domestic minutes, youth international caps, and continental club rankings. The collective interest centers on Filling’s physical metrics and positional versatility within AIK’s attacking line.
