Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Globally with Significant Upgrades
The new Redmi Note 15 Pro and 15 Pro 5G models introduce enhanced batteries, improved displays, and robust protection.
Xiaomi has launched the new season of its Redmi Note series, introducing five new models globally. This marks a significant expansion of its mid-range smartphone offerings.
Today’s announcement highlights the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G. These devices arrive as substantial upgrades over their predecessors, bringing several key enhancements to the series.
Both models feature increased battery capacities. The Redmi Note 15 Pro includes a 6,500 mAh battery, while the Note 15 Pro 5G elevates this with a 6,580 mAh silicon-carbon battery.
Wired charging remains at 45W for both new phones. However, reverse charging capabilities have seen improvements: the Note 15 Pro now supports up to 18W, and the Note 15 Pro 5G offers up to 22.5W.
Xiaomi chose flat screens for the design of both new Pro models. This design choice provides a consistent aesthetic across the lineup.
The Note 15 Pro 5G features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, offering a 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1280) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Note 15 Pro comes equipped with a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen, providing FHD+ resolution (2392 × 1080) and also a 120Hz refresh rate.
Both panels support 12-bit color and deliver an impressive peak local brightness of 3,200 nits. The 5G model further distinguishes itself with a 480Hz touch sampling rate, surpassing the standard Pro model’s 240Hz.
Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos accompany both devices, enhancing the audio experience. Dust and water resistance have also seen upgrades: the Redmi Note 15 Pro carries an IP65 certification, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G boasts IP68 and IP69K certifications, offering premium protection within its category.
Internally, slightly refreshed MediaTek SoCs power the new phones, featuring improvements to both CPU and NPU performance. The Note 15 Pro runs on the Helio G200-Ultra, and the Note 15 Pro 5G is equipped with the Dimensity 7400-Ultra.
