Israeli Settlers Enter Al-Aqsa Amid West Bank Military Deployments and Demolition Plans

WAFA reports widespread Israeli forces' activity, including Al-Aqsa entry, checkpoints, and Sanur demolition preparations.

Dozens of Israeli settlers entered Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday, protected by Israeli occupation forces.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that 271 settlers accessed the Al-Aqsa courtyards via the Mughrabi Gate, where they performed Talmudic rituals and conducted what the agency described as “provocative tours.”

Separately, WAFA detailed that Israeli occupation forces stormed the vicinity of the Qalandia refugee camp, closing a military checkpoint. Forces also raided several commercial shops in the town of Kafr Aqab and fired tear gas canisters at residents.

Further south, Israeli occupation forces entered the town of Silat al-Dhahr and deployed military reinforcements to the southern area of Sanur. Vehicles were positioned in the streets, impeding the movement of Palestinian vehicles.

The agency also confirmed that occupation bulldozers entered the southern part of Sanur, preparing to commence demolition and reconstruction operations at the “Tarsala” site. This follows a decision by the Israeli government to re-establish it as a settlement, reversing its disengagement and evacuation in 2005.
