Egypt’s Sisi Appoints New Central Bank Board, Hassan Abdallah to Chair
Presidential decree names 11 members to CBE board for one-year term starting Nov 2025.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has issued Presidential Decree No. 733 for 2025, establishing the new Board of Directors for the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). Hassan Abdallah, currently the acting Governor of the Central Bank, will chair the board for a one-year term commencing November 27, 2025.
The decree, published in the Official Gazette, also named the following individuals to the board:
- Ramy Ahmed Adel Abu El-Naga – Deputy Governor of the Central Bank.
- Tarek Mohamed Badawy El-Khouly – Deputy Governor of the Central Bank.
- Mohamed Farid Saleh – Acting Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority.
- Ali Mohamed Ali Farmawy – Technology Expert.
- Sherif Hussein Kamel Mohamed – Financial Expert.
- Khaled Ahmed Fouad Mahmoud Sherif – Banking Expert.
- Essam Mohamed Abdel Hady Amer – Accounting and Financial Expert.
- Khaled Ibrahim Saqr Ali – Economic Expert.
- Ahmed Gad Gad Radwan – Economic Expert.
- Amina Amin Helmy Hassan – Economic Expert.
