Egypt’s PM Inspects New Hayah Karima Ambulance Hub in Giza
Madbouly Highlights Critical Role of Emergency Services in Rural Development

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly today inspected the operational launch of the Al-Wadi village ambulance point in Giza’s El-Saff district. The facility, spanning 250 square meters, is a key component of the presidential “Hayah Karima” (Decent Life) initiative, which Madbouly toured.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, underscored President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s commitment to developing the Egyptian Ambulance Authority. He emphasized its vital role as the first line of defense in emergencies, a crucial tool for saving lives and mitigating crisis impacts.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that upgrading the ambulance system is not optional but a necessity, pursued with diligence and determination. This comes amid increasing challenges, including population density, urban expansion, and evolving health conditions. He also highlighted the importance of integrating the Ambulance Authority with other healthcare system components to ensure a comprehensive care chain, aiming for patient recovery rather than just transport, stressing the keen focus on reducing response times.

El-Garhy outlined the Al-Wadi ambulance point’s resources, which include 26 ambulances, 23 of which are mobile intensive care units. These units are set to serve Al-Wadi village and its surrounding communities, enhancing rapid response to emergencies and meeting residents’ needs.

Dr. El-Garhy stated that the ambulance point is located approximately 5 kilometers from El-Saff center. Serving a population of about 30,000 across four villages—Al-Wadi, Eskar, Arab Eskar, and El-Deismi—it handles an average of 100 services monthly.
Prime Minister Madbouly also inspected a model of an ambulance vehicle operating at the point. He reviewed its capabilities designed to serve the residents of the covered villages, as well as major highways and agricultural roads.
