Thousands of students and parents are actively seeking the 2026 mid-year exam schedules for all academic levels. The official dates for the first semester exams of the 2025/2026 academic year are fast approaching. Educational directorates have begun to sequentially announce these exam timetables. This follows directives issued by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, led by Minister Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif.

Mid-Year Exam Timeline 2026

The Ministry of Education confirmed the 2026 mid-year exams will start between January 10 and January 15, 2026. This timeline applies to schools across all educational stages nationwide. The Ministry based this on the approved academic calendar. Several educational directorates, including Sharqia and Gharbia, have already officially released detailed exam schedules for all grades.

Monufia Governorate Mid-Year Exam Schedule 2026

Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Monufia Governor, approved the 2026 mid-year exam schedule for all grades and educational stages within the governorate. Dr. Mohamed Salah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, attended the approval. The Education Directorate director confirmed exams will run from January 10 to January 22, 2026. This period covers primary, preparatory, and first and second secondary general stages. Technical education transfer exams will begin earlier, on December 27, 2025.

The Directorate confirmed the completion of exam committee preparations. They ensured suitable environments for students. Executive leaders stressed preventing street vendors near schools. They also raised the level of readiness and monitoring within exam committees. A central operations room has been activated and linked to the national emergency network. Gharbia Education Directorate Instructions on Mid-Year Exams 2026

The Gharbia Governorate Education Directorate announced specific regulations and procedures for the exams. Exams for non-cumulative subjects will take place on Sunday, January 4. Schools not operating on Sundays will hold these exams on Saturday, January 2, 2026.

Students in language schools will take advanced level exams under school supervision before written exams. Practical exams will proceed according to technical guidelines, without disrupting the school day. The Directorate emphasized completing practical evaluations of educational activities two weeks before the semester ends. Ministerial Decree No. 313 of 2011 exempts home-schooled students from practical science and computer exams. The Arabic language exam will include a 20-minute dictation segment. The Directorate also mandated accommodating students with disabilities. This includes adapting questions to the type of disability, without extending the exam duration.

Educational Administrations Prepare for Mid-Year Exams 2026

West Tanta Educational Administration held intensive meetings chaired by Mervat Megahed, the Director-General. Activity supervisors attended these meetings, which focused on exam preparations. Officials confirmed that exams would be printed at a secret printing press. They also decided against unifying exams across the entire administration. Instead, schools will be divided into sectors. The administration stressed adherence to regulations governing basic and secondary stage exams. They also emphasized preparing exam models that comply with technical specifications.
