Egypt’s Education Minister Tours Beni Suef Schools, Reviews Academic Standards
Abdel Latif Inspects Beni Suef Schools in Surprise Visit

Egypt’s Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, conducted a surprise inspection tour of several schools in Beni Suef, covering the Biba and Samasta educational administrations. The visit aimed to assess performance levels within the schools, aligning with his ongoing field monitoring of the educational process across the republic.
He was accompanied during his tour by Dr. Ahmed El Mohammady, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up, who also oversees the Central Administration for the Minister’s Office Affairs.
The Education Minister began his tour in the Biba educational district, visiting Hilya Preparatory School for Girls and Hilya New Primary School for Girls. He inspected classrooms and monitored the students’ academic performance, issuing directives to enhance discipline across both institutions.
Subsequently, Abdel Latif proceeded to the Samasta educational district. There, he inspected Mustafa Kamel (1) Primary School, which enrolls 350 students, and Mustafa Kamel (2) Primary School, with 809 students, attached to Al-Shaheed Al-Naqib Salim Younis Habasi Preparatory School for Girls.
During his visits, the Minister reviewed student grade records and weekly assessments to verify the consistent operation of the schools and the adherence to educational regulations. For more context on the country’s education sector, see the World Bank’s overview of Egypt.
He also monitored the academic progress of fourth-grade students in Social Studies and Arabic, and sixth-grade students in Mathematics and English. The Minister expressed satisfaction with the students’ academic standards.
