Egypt Reaffirms Commitment to Lebanon’s Stability and Economic Growth
Prime Ministers Madbouly and Salam Lead Bilateral Talks in Beirut


Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, affirmed his country’s unwavering support for Lebanon. He stated Egypt would stand by the Lebanese state and its people. This commitment aims to aid Lebanon’s journey towards recovery and stability.
Prime Minister Madbouly expressed his belief in the private sector as the true engine of economic growth. He highlighted the potential for Egyptian-Lebanese cooperation. If properly leveraged, this collaboration could establish a successful model for Arab economic integration. Madbouly looked forward to productive discussions. He hoped these talks would translate into concrete actions benefiting both nations and their respective populations.
This morning, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, and Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic, co-chaired an expanded discussion session. The meeting took place at the Government Serail in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital. Participants addressed several issues of mutual interest. Discussions specifically focused on enhancing security, stability, and peace across all Lebanese territories. They also explored ways to strengthen cooperation in various economic sectors. The Egyptian delegation included several key officials. Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, attended. Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, was also present. Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, participated in the talks. Ambassador Alaa Moussa, Egypt’s Ambassador to Lebanon, completed the delegation.
The Lebanese side also featured a high-level contingent. Youssef Rajeh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, was present. Yassin Jaber, Minister of Finance, attended the session. Djou Issa El-Khoury, Minister of Industry, participated in the discussions. Joseph El-Sada, Minister of Energy and Water, was part of the delegation. Amer El-Bassat, Minister of Economy and Trade, also joined. Fayez Rassamni, Minister of Public Works and Transport, was present. Lee El-Halabi, Lebanon’s Ambassador to Egypt, completed the Lebanese representation.
