How to Watch Brewers vs. Rays World Series Free in 2026

Full streaming guide and game schedule for baseball's championship series

Baseball will crown a new World Series champion in 2026, with the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays each seeking the first title in franchise history.

The matchup between the teams with the best records in their respective leagues during the regular season isn’t necessarily a surprise, but it does lie in stark contrast to the dominance of the mega-spending Dodgers the last two years. Los Angeles captured back-to-back championships in 2024 and 2025, making this year’s Fall Classic a refreshing return to parity for a league that has seen several small-market clubs rise through player development rather than free-agent spending sprees.

The Rays are in the Fall Classic for the third time in their 29-season history. The first came in 2008, the year of their spectacular ascent from perennial last-place finishers to regular postseason presence, but they fell to the Phillies in five games. They most recently lost 4-2 to the Dodgers in 2020, a neutral-site series played in Texas amid the COVID pandemic, and will relish the chance to have World Series games back at Tropicana Field. The St. Petersburg stadium, which opened in 1990 and is one of the oldest active venues in Major League Baseball, has long been a point of contention regarding its future, adding emotional weight to what could be among its final marquee events.

Milwaukee’s wait has been much longer. The Brewers are in their first World Series since 1982, when they were the American League East champions, fell in a 0-2 ALCS hole against the Angels before winning four straight, then ultimately dropped a seven-game Fall Classic against the Cardinals. That roster, affectionately known as “Harvey’s Wallbangers” under manager Harvey Kuenn, remains a legendary chapter in Wisconsin sports lore. MLB set up shop in Milwaukee in 1970 when the Seattle Pilots relocated and became the Brewers; will the team finally bring home the Commissioner’s Trophy more than half a century later?

Here’s all you need to know to stream this historic matchup for free.
