Saudi Arabia’s NEOM Green Hydrogen Project Reaches 90% Construction Milestone
Project on Track for 2026 Completion, Targets 10% Global Clean Hydrogen Output

The NEOM Green Hydrogen Project, a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s and the world’s energy transition efforts, is steadily progressing towards its scheduled completion. The project company has announced approximately 90% of construction work is finished across all sites, according to renewable energy news portal Renewables Now.
Completion of the ambitious venture is anticipated in 2026, with initial deliveries of green ammonia expected to commence in early 2027. Saudi Arabia aims for the project to contribute to meeting nearly 10% of the global target for carbon-free hydrogen production.
