Turathna Heritage Exhibition Extended Amidst Overwhelming Public Interest
MSMEDA CEO Basil Rahmi announces two-day extension for handicrafts showcase at City Stars, boosting artisan opportunities.

Basil Rahmi, CEO of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), extended the second phase of the Turathna exhibition. The extension covers Friday and Saturday. The exhibition, featuring handicrafts and heritage products, takes place at City Stars, Nasr City. This decision followed significant public turnout.
Rahmi explained the extension. It resulted from cooperation and coordination with City Stars, Nasr City. This aims to maximize benefits for participating artisans. They will capitalize on public attendance during the weekend holidays.

Rahmi praised Mohamed Abu El Yazid. Mr. Abu El Yazid serves as Managing Director and CEO of City Stars for Management and Real Estate Consulting. Rahmi acknowledged his significant cooperation in executing this exhibition.

The exhibition achieved significant success. It launched in two phases, running from December 1 to December 18. A total of 240 exhibitors participated. Thousands of visitors attended, including Egyptians and tourists. They showed interest in the unique handmade heritage products.

Rahmi affirmed MSMEDA’s commitment to directives from Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. Dr. Madbouly also chairs MSMEDA’s board. These directives ensure comprehensive support for handicraft and heritage artisans. This particularly targets project owners and production clusters in Upper Egypt, border governorates, and Sinai. These regions require support, development, and marketing services most. The agency prioritizes this sector with increased support. This aims to preserve skilled labor.
