Egyptian authorities apprehend two women for soliciting illicit services via mobile app.

Giza police have arrested two women accused of using a mobile application to solicit prostitution, authorities announced Tuesday.
Information gathered by the General Administration for the Protection of Public Morality, a unit within Egypt’s Specialized Police Sector, indicated that the two women were advertising illicit services to individuals seeking pleasure via a mobile application, offering these services for financial compensation without discrimination.
Following legal procedures, officers apprehended the two suspects within the jurisdiction of the Al-Ahram police station in Giza. Authorities seized two mobile phones from the women during the arrest.
An examination of the seized devices revealed evidence confirming their criminal activity. When confronted, both women confessed to the charges as described, and legal measures have since been initiated.
