Nike and health technology company Hyperice have unveiled the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, a slip-on recovery sandal that integrates built-in heating and vibration therapy into everyday footwear.<\/p>\n
Scheduled to hit select markets on September 29, the product marks the latest development in an ongoing technical partnership between the sportswear giant and the recovery tech firm. It builds upon the commercial groundwork laid by the Nike x Hyperice Hyperboot, a high-top recovery shoe tested by Olympians at the 2024 Paris Summer Games that surpassed $10 million in revenue during its first eight months on the market and became the first footwear carried by electronics retailer Best Buy<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Hyperslide incorporates Nike\u2019s full-length Air Zoom sole alongside a magnetic module called the Hyperslide Pod, housed within the slide\u2019s adjustable upper strap. The pod delivers three distinct intensity levels for both thermal heating and mechanical vibration, running on automated 15-minute cycles. Users can operate the functions directly through controls on the pod or via the Hyperice mobile application.<\/p>\n Targeted contrast and mechanical therapy tools have increasingly moved from training facilities into personal consumer devices. Thermal heat application encourages blood flow to strained muscle tissue, while targeted vibration can help relieve muscle tightness and reset sensory nerve receptors following intense physical exertion.<\/p>\n “Athletes leave everything on the field, and the approach to recovery needs to meet them at the same level,” said Tobi Hatfield, senior director of athlete innovation at Nike. “With the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, we wanted to create a solution that kickstarts recovery the moment you power it up \u2014 helping athletes feel more relaxed, restored and ready to take their performance to the next level.”<\/p>\n The product launch comes as Nike chief executive officer Elliott Hill leads a broader strategic focus centered on athletic performance hardware and athlete-centered innovation. The footwear design underwent testing with both professional and recreational athletes, including Liverpool FC defender and Netherlands national team captain Virgil van Dijk.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s the combination that stands out,” Van Dijk said. “The Hyperice heat and vibration help my feet recover as quickly as possible, while the Nike Air Zoom cushioning makes it feel incredibly comfortable.”<\/p>\n Hyperice founder Anthony Katz noted that the slip-on form factor was chosen specifically to make recovery technology functional outside of dedicated training sessions or formal post-game routines.<\/p>\n The Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide launches in select markets on September 29.<\/p>\n
