UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting declared that European allies will eventually credit U.S. President Donald Trump<\/a> for disrupting the continent’s strategic complacency, even as London firmly rejects participating in potential offensive military operations against Iran<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking during an interview on Sky News with host Trevor Phillips, Streeting outlined the national security posture of Prime Minister Andy Burnham<\/a>‘s newly formed administration, which took office on July 20. The defence chief emphasized that Washington’s demand for European nations to carry a greater share of their collective security burden is a justified expectation that spans both Democratic and Republican administrations.<\/p>\n

While clarifying that Britain will not support offensive actions targeting Iran, Streeting highlighted key areas of military collaboration between Washington and London.
