The attacks, which spanned multiple regions from the outskirts of Moscow to Russian-occupied Crimea<\/a>, highlight a tactical shift by Kyiv to destabilize Russia\u2019s domestic economy and disrupt dual-use supply channels supporting Kremlin forces.<\/p>\n

Over the course of several days, aerial drones struck major Wildberries fulfillment centers in Elektrostal, Kotovsk, Krasnodar<\/a>, Stavropol, St. Petersburg<\/a>, Leningrad, and Simferopol. In total, the strikes damaged or temporarily closed facilities representing roughly 12 percent of the company\u2019s total warehousing footprint. Founded in 2004 as an online apparel vendor, Wildberries grew into a vast conglomerate managing over 5.2 million square meters of storage capacity across Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and occupied regions of Ukraine. The firm\u2019s financial services arm, Wildberries Bank, was previously placed under financial sanctions by the European Union and the United Kingdom as part of broader efforts to restrict Russian commercial entities tied to the state economy.<\/p>\n

Beyond immediate physical damage, the campaign reflects Kyiv\u2019s broader strategy of bringing the direct reality of the war into Russian urban centers. Following months of long-range attacks targeting energy infrastructure and oil refineries, hits on civilian delivery hubs further erode the Kremlin’s narrative that daily domestic life remains insulated from the ongoing invasion.<\/p>\n
